Business:
A customer-friendly design for an e-commerce website committed to offering high-quality software and hardware products. Our collaboration started by offering programming and maintenance services, but the launch of the SEO Department of Zeppelin Design allowed us to expand our services for softwareforless.com with an ongoing Search Engine Optimization maintenance plan.
Approach:
A Website Analysis was conducted, generating an Optimizer Report. The next step (after an in-depth Keyword Research process) consisted in building an extensive key phrase list, encompassing the keywords used by visitors when searching for our client’s products and services, the number of searches they get and the best methods of putting them at work to drive traffic to our client’s website.
Also, being familiarized with the website architecture (as we have been dealing with its maintenance, monthly updates and implementation of new features for the past year), we began the online optimization campaign with a series of On Page Website Optimization measures which included: URL Rewriting, anchor text/ links optimization, the use of automatically generated Tiles and Metatags according to the website section. E.g.: for a product page, the tag <Title> contains the main keyword “BUY”, followed by the product name, category, the complete path.
Other On Page Website Optimization included SEO Friendly Copywriting, Site Mapping and Internal Linking.
We also started running Google AdSense ads throughout the site, bringing significant amounts to our client’s bank account, many being re-invested in constant Google AdWords campaigns. Other successfully implemented Google Products are Google Custom Search Engine and Google Checkout.
Results:
The first results of the online promotion and SEO campaign began to be noticed in the first 2-3 months, becoming notable after only 5 months:
- Our SEO services launched the website to the no. 1 position in Google searches for the keyword phrase “buy hardware”. The current position for this key phrase fluctuates between the1 and 5 spots and our client’s website benefits from constantly increasing traffic.
- The website’s Page Rank was increased mainly due to the Search Engines and Directories Submissions campaigns and Link Building Campaign from 3 to 7.
